  • Condition: Ask about the old English craftsmanship in cane making and I'll hand you this one to marvel over. Hallmarked silver, Birmingham, 1918, maker "JH". The bird handle was certainly hand carved with every feather, its beak, and eyes perfect. It still retains much of the original paint that was applied to give it life. Blues, greens, and browns are still showing, and its' wooden beak is completely intact. Its eyes still glint with life. Remarkable. The collar has a couple of dings, but all the hallmarks are clear. The brown shaft shows minimal use with no paint breaks or dings. Very nice looking. For some reason the original ferrule was replaced, but the brass one in place is like new. This cane is remarkable in its condition and build quality.
